Disinfect
Tooth Brush, Dentures, etc.
A
simple way to promote gum health and prevent the
spread of harmful bacteria and microorganisms is
to soak your toothbrush in ozonated water for at
least 3 minutes before or after use. That's
all it takes to get rid of the "bad guys" found on
most toothbrushes; many of which will not simply
go away with hot water. As a matter of fact,
ozonated water can be used to disinfect utensils,
contact lens cases, or anything that needs to be
100% bacteria and microorganism free. |

Gargle
for Gum Health & to Prevent Bad Breath.
Gargling with ozonated water
everyday is a great way of promoting good
health. "There are a lot of studies that
suggest that oral health, and gum disease in
particular, are related to serious conditions like
heart disease," says periodontist Sally
Cram, DDS, a spokeswoman for the American Dental
Association. Brushing your teeth and then
gargling with ozonated water is simple yet
powerful way of promoting good health. A
side benefit, say goodbye to bad breath and say
hello to clean fresh breath! Gargling with
ozonated water kills the microorganisms that lead
to bad breath. |

Disinfecting meats,
fruits and vegetables.
It
only takes a few seconds for ozone to oxidize the
harmful pesticides, bacteria, and chemicals that
are found on most fruits or vegetables. (View most pesticide saturated fruits
and veggies) You don't have to soak
them for a long time, but soaking your fruits and
vegetables in ozonated water before rinsing and
consuming promotes good health and can prevent
serious illness. (Research) Ozone
also extends the shelf-life of produce
and meats, an added benefit. Ozonated
water can also be sprayed on food or food handling
surfaces to oxidize harmful substances.

Ozone
Water
We all
know that ozone kills bacteria and harmful
substances in water but did you know that
ozonating water and then drinking it can also help
remove harmful substances in your
system? Well at least that's the consensus
among natural health practitioners. All it takes
is a few minutes to ozonate a glass of water. A
glass a day can keep the doctor away! Ozone
therapy has been used for over 100 years to treat
and cure disease (with little side effect mind
you) and is only kept from coming to market in the
U.S. because of the special interests of the large
pharmaceutical companies. (many side effects)

Remove
Second Hand Smoke and Odors.
Smokers need ozone! Second
hand smoke penetrates all surfaces and ruins
them. Ozone oxidizes those harmful
substances found in second hand smoke; even
surfaces damaged by cigarette or cigar smoke. You
don't have to smoke however to reap the benefits
of this ozonator. Simply passing through a
smoky bar can saturate your clothing with second
hand smoke. Ozone will remove the second hand
smoke odors from clothing (actually oxidize them)
which in turn can save you money on dry
cleaning. Simply make an "Ozone box", place your
smoky garments inside, and saturate them with
ozone for 1 hour. Presto! Clean, fresh
smelling clothing. |

Disclaimer: Ozone in high concentrations irritates the lungs
unless it has something in the air to oxidize, for instance,
second hand smoke or VOC's. If ozone does not oxidize something
within 30-40 minutes however, it will revert back to
oxygen however. We recommend you ozonate water under the exhaust fan on your stove, in the garage, next to a HEPA-Carbon air cleaner, in an unoccupied room, or outdoors under a covered location. Use in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws. Do not use this ozonator for medical purposes as it is not registered with the FDA and is not intended to be used as a medical device.
Ozonated Water
Drinking Ozonated water is a great way to detoxify your system. Ever day we are being bombarded with chemicals and pollutants. A recent study entitled "Body Burden: The Pollution in Newborns" reveals that a mothers womb, once thought to be a safe haven, contains on average over 200 toxic chemicals, many of which can cause birth defects and disease. Cleaning your food by soaking it in ozonated water is a powerful way of reducing the amount of pesticides, bacteria, etc which enters your system. Drinking ozonated water is said to be one of best ways we can detoxify our system. To make Ozonated water using the Ionic Zone Ozonator, simply place the output tubing with the attached air stone bubbler into a large empty glass or pitcher. Fill the glass half way with ice and top off with water.
Run the Ionic Zone Ozonator for 5-10 minutes for a large glass of water and 20-25 minutes for a pitcher of water. The purpose of the ice is to make the water as cold as possible in order to absorb more ozone and hold onto it for a longer period of time. Room temperature water loses its ozone within a few minutes. Drink the Ozonated water as soon as you can after making it. The ozone is constantly coming out of solution and will completely dissipate in about 20 minutes, so the sooner you drink it, the more ozone you'll get.
Location. If you are going to ozonate water indoors, do it near a carbon based HEPA machine or on the stove while the exhaust vent is operating as to not fill the air with high levels of ozone which can irritate the lungs and eyes Otherwise, ozonate your water and musty location, closet, garage, or on a covered back porch. If your indoor air is smoky or otherwise musty, then the ozone entering the air will be beneficial at oxidizing harmful substances and creating oxygen in the process.
You can extend the 'shelf life' of Ozonated water by adding a couple of drops of ConcenTrace (available in most health food stores as a trace mineral supplement) to the water before you ozonate it. You can then bottle it and keep it in the refrigerator for a few days. Some ozone will attach itself to the minerals in ConcenTrace and prevent it from bubbling out of the water so quickly.
Ozonated Olive Oil
This stuff is great! You can ingest a teaspoon of ozonated olive oil once or twice a day and get a steady internal application of ozone into your system as well as healthy Omega 3's and other essential fatty acids which boost your immune system. Extra Virgin Olive oil is best. To Ozonate the oil, bubble ozone through the oil for 30 minutes at a time, 24 times over a several day period. (Put the lid back on the oil and refrigerate between applications) Once the oil is ozonated, it will become a thick tonic topically to lesions, cuts, abrasions, infections, scars, wounds, etc. Its therapeutic capacities can be amazing. If you have a serious external lesion or infection that is not healing, you should give ozonated olive oil a try, you'll be glad you did.
Using Ozonated Oils for Topical Skin Therapy:
When ozone is into olive oil, flaxseed oil, etc for long
periods of time, the oil will eventually thicken. This
is because the oil has retained the ozone. The process
takes around 24 hours and can be performed over a several
day period. Once the oxygenated oil is refrigerated,
the oil tonic will hold its ozone for years. This oxygenated
oil, when applied to the skin, has been shown to act
as a natural oxidant and thus is beneficial for cuts,
scrapes and burns, insect bites, rashes, eczema, herpes,
or most any skin condition.
Bacterial Disinfection and Viral Inactivation
The extent of bacteria destruction and viral inactivation
is related to the concentration of ozone in the water
and its contact time with the microorganisms. Bacteria
are the most rapidly destroyed. E-Coli bacteria are destroyed
by ozone concentrations of just over .01 mg/liter and
contact time of 15 second at temperatures of 25 degrees
C (77 degrees F) and 30 degrees C (86 degrees F).* Streptococcus
fecalis are much more easily destroyed. At ozone concentrations
of about 0.025 mg/liter, 99.99% inactivation is obtained
in 20 seconds or less at both temperatures. Viruses are
more resistant than bacteria. Polio virus types I, II
and III are inactivated by exposure to concentrations
of dissolved ozone of 0.4 mg/liter over a four minute
contact period.
Oxidation of Inorganic's
In the case of iron, manganese and the several arsenite
or arsenate compounds, oxidation takes place very rapidly,
leaving insoluble compounds which are easily removed
by an activated carbon filter. Sulfide ions are oxidized
sequentially to sulfate ions, an innocuous substance.
The first stage of this oxidation is very rapid, quickly
and efficiently removing any sulfurous odors. Nitrite
ions are oxidized to nitrate ions, which are stable and
innocuous.
Oxidation of Organics - Pesticides, etc.
Ozone if a very powerful agent in treating organic materials. Organics are either natural (humic and fulvic acids) or synthetic (detergents , pesticides) in nature. Some organics react with ozone very rapidly to destruction, within minutes or even seconds (phenol, formic acid), whereas other react more slowly with ozone (humic, fulvic acids, several pesticides, trichloroethane, etc.) In some cases, organic materials are only partially oxidized with ozone. Soaking your meats and produce in Ozone water for 10 to 15 min. can greatly reduce contamination.
Other Uses:
Ozone Box
Unlike fan forced ozone generators, the Ionic Zone Ozonator has a 3' long silicone tube feed which makes it possible to administer the ozone into containers, water, or any box or enclosure. To make your very own ozone box, simply make a 2'x2' box (natural wood is best but cardboard and even a plastic bag will also work) and feed the ozone into the enclosure for as long as it takes to remove odors, oxidize chemicals, or kill fleas, etc. The ozone levels inside the enclosure will reach ultra high levels. An ozone box can remove odors from shoes, smoky clothing, the stench of rotting meat, etc. NOTE: Super high levels of ozone can damage rubber seals and gaskets. We only recommend you use this technique on garments or solid objects.
